Apprentice Pharmacist Training Centre
The centre is responsible for the training and professional development of pharmaceutical workers and dispensers.
Our joint actions:
Since 1998, Klorane Botanical Foundation has supported educational initiatives at the Apprentice Pharmacist Training Centre: phytochemistry workshops, guided visits to the Pierre Fabre Botanical Conservatory (Soual), herbarium competitions and technical plant data sheets. A collaboration that is still going strong over 15 years later!
BGCI
Botanic Gardens Conservation International
BGCI is the largest global plant protection network. It mobilizes botanical gardens to preserve biodiversity, and has over 700 members and partners in 120 countries. Thanks to this international presence and its expertise, it influences government policy and priorities while encouraging field initiatives. It can thus cover considerable ground for the protection of plants.
Its missions:
- to support programs for the protection of endangered plant species,
- to provide general and technical recommendations,
- to regularly provide additional information through newsletters, magazines, conferences and training sessions.
Carlos Thays Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires
A major institution in Argentina and one of the city's main tourist attractions. This garden was created 120 years ago by the French landscape architect and urban planner Charles Thays. It currently houses 3,700 living species from 200 different botanical families, as well as a herbarium of 4,630 plants. A large part of the garden is dedicated to indigenous Argentinian tree species. In addition to its historical and cultural significance, it plays an important role in the creation of educational projects.
Its missions:
- to expand and increase plant diversity,
- to make valuable botanical information available to the public: herbariums, libraries…
- to educate children on plant biodiversity.
Chim Eco
The ambitions of the ChimEco laboratory are to develop an interdisciplinary approach to global ecology and green chemistry as a vector for sustainable development.
Its activities are based on the unusual combination of phytotechnologies suitable for the ecological rehabilitation of degraded sites and the improvement of these processes using an innovative, bio-inspired green chemistry technique, ecocatalysis.
Garden City Fund and Singapore Botanic Gardens
In Singapore, this charitable association's mission is to transform the city into a garden. Created by the National Parks Board, it conducts actions to protect biodiversity and green spaces, taking care to involve local institutions. Its initiatives take the form of conservation, research, awareness and education programs. With the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a local sustainable development player, a conservation plan was developed for an endemic orchid that was believed to have disappeared. The goal: to reintroduce 500 orchids to their natural environment.

Klorane Botanical Foundation supports the program for the reintroduction of an orchid endemic to Singapore.
Initiative Développement
Initiative Développement has accompanied underprivileged communities since 1996 by providing a sustainable answer to their basic needs. The organization has been implementing the project on the improvement of the Ylang Ylang industry in Anjouan since 2013.
Ishpingo
Ishpingo is a non-governmental French and Ecuadorian organisation founded in 2005 by Flore Moser and Antoine Vullien. For 15 years, it has been aiming at improving the social, economical and environmental conditions of native Amazonian populations, reforesting and preserving biodiversity through agroforestry projects. Imbuing their actions with a sustainable logic is their priority. To do so, they include locals in all their reforesting projects, as they will be the one carrying on tomorrow what they put their heart and soul in doing today. Ishpingo is the name of the cinnamon tree in Kichwa.
IUCN
International Union for Conservation of Nature
The IUCN is the largest and oldest global environmental protection organization. It brings together over 1,000 governments and NGOs and close to 10,000 experts from nearly 160 countries.
Its missions:
- to help the world develop pragmatic solutions to nature protection and sustainable development challenges,
- to encourage scientific research and field projects.
Our joint actions:
Klorane Botanical Foundation has partnered with the IUCN to raise the public's awareness of topics relating to the protection of species, such as the preservation of Mediterranean medicinal plants, an ancient heritage that must be preserved for the future.
KidsGardening
This non-profit organization uses gardening to introduce children to plants and the outdoors. Its aim is to expose them to its many benefits, beyond the mere pleasure of the hobby: a better diet, a team spirit, self-confidence…
LaSalle Beauvais Polytechnic Institute
A research and training centre for agricultural, food/healthcare and geological engineers. Among other things, it conducts scientific research programs on the use of plants in food and healthcare…

Mas de la Serre Mediterranean Garden
The Mas de la Serre Mediterranean Garden is located in the hills above Banyuls-sur-Mer in Pyrénées-Orientales, overlooking the Baillaury Valley.
The botanists of the Mas de la Serre Garden are assisted by the managers of the Massane forest reserve a few kilometres away. This protected forest is one of the few old-growth forests in France.

Klorane Botanical Foundation has partnered with this garden for its action to raise the public's awareness of the importance of the heritage that is composed of the Mediterranean medicinal plants.
Mycological and Botanical Association of Hérault and the Hauts-Cantons (AMBHHC)
"Getting to know plants and mushrooms in order to love them; loving their richness in order to protect them": this is the AMBHHC's lovely motto. This association brings together plant and mushroom lovers to identify the species of Haut Languedoc in order to better understand and preserve them.
Our joint actions:
Klorane Botanical Foundation provides support to the association and helps hold the Bédarieux Botanical Events which present, each year, exhibits and conferences on the local biodiversity.
National Botanical Conservatory of Brest
The conservatory works to preserve the wild plant diversity in western France and the major sites of biodiversity worldwide. Since its founding in 1975, it has been dedicated to the preservation of endangered species, its mission being to study, assist, preserve and raise awareness surrounding wild plant heritage.
Our joint actions:
Together, we have taken part in missions to safeguard plant species, including the reintroduction of Normania triphylla to Madeira Island. We worked together to prepare for this reintroduction: ten years spent studying the plant, followed by cultivation and, finally, the harvesting of plants and seeds to propagate them. The National Botanical Conservatory of Brest and Klorane Botanical Foundation are also partners for operations to raise public awareness of endangered species and threatened plants.
National Botanical Conservatory of Corsica
Of approximately 3,000 different plant species found in Corsica, 5% do not exist anywhere else in the world. A treasure chest of plant biodiversity! This conservatory's mission is to preserve the richness of the island's flora.

The National Botanical Conservatory of Corsica has partnered with Klorane Botanical Foundation to teach the general public about the Mediterranean flora's importance for humanity, including the plants' medicinal uses.
National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS)
This prestigious public research centre is probably the most famous one in France. Through its 1,053 laboratories, it covers every scientific field, from the social sciences and humanities to chemistry and nuclear physics.
A major producer of Nobel prizes and Fields medals, the CNRS has a gift for revealing talents and, more importantly, for furthering knowledge.

We work together on an extensive project, the Great Green Wall, in Senegal.
Goal
To halt the desert's advance by planting desert date trees to create a green barrier that cuts across Africa from East to West.
Natural Sciences Society of Tarn (STSN)
The STSN studies the natural sciences: mycology, botany, entomology, geology, mineralogy, paleontology.
It organizes field studies, exhibits, conferences and meetings to study the species observed.

Klorane Botanical Foundation has partnered with this association for its plant heritage exploration missions and supports all of its initiatives geared towards schoolchildren and the general public
OHMI Tessekere
Created in Senegal by the CNRS, OHMi's purpose is to study the impact of the plantations of the "Great Green Wall" project from an ecological, medical and social viewpoint.
The first four research topics had to do with desertification: water and soil // biodiversity // social systems // healthcare.

It was the Great Green Wall project, to revegetate a wide strip of land across Africa, that brought us together for the Senegalese section, as this observatory was created in the context of that project.
Pierre Fabre Botanical Conservatory
A centre for research, preservation and conservation, dedicated to the world of plants. Over 1,200 plant species are currently represented, 40% of which are protected.
The conservatory is contained within a 5-hectare park near Soual, Tarn, which is surrounded by a 25-hectare estate dedicated to organic agriculture: a first-rate environment for the conservation and promotion of plant species.
Its missions:
- to preserve rare or protected plant species
- to encourage exchange between scientists and institutions involved in research, conservation and preservation actions related to plant and animal diversity.
Pro Natura
Pro Natura is a hundred-year-old Swiss association dedicated to protecting the country's nature. It manages over 600 nature reserves and is involved in many projects, with the following goals:
- to preserve biodiversity
- to help species that are now rare become common
- to preserve unbuilt natural areas
- to seek out alternatives to unlimited growth.

We have worked together in Switzerland to save the alpine sea holly, or Eryngium alpinum.
Sipa Press
One of the leading photojournalistic agencies in the world, with a network of over 600 correspondents. Since its creation in 1973, it has assembled an exceptional photographic archive with 25 million photos.

We are the founding partners of the “ UNESCO Green Citizens, become a pathfinder for change ” program, alongside UNESCO and SIPA Press. Our "Great Green Wall" project was selected as one of the emblematic examples of the program.
Tela Botanica
This association is a network of French-speaking botanists from around the world, based in Montpellier.
Its missions
- to facilitate the sharing of botanists' knowledge,
- to make their knowledge widely accessible,
- to conduct innovative research projects surrounding plants.
Our joint actions
Klorane Botanical Foundation has partnered with this network of botanists to offer participative science programs to the general public: the Observatory of the Seasons, the study of wild plants in the city, the development of an interactive flora. The aim of these initiatives is the discovery of the local natural world and the fostering of civic engagement for its preservation.
The Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
This is one of the oldest global research institutions in China, as it was born in 1928. Since, it has shone through its multi-awarded research, led by its 5 main labs.
The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney is the green heart of Australia’s largest city. Situated along the Sydney Harbour foreshore, the Garden connects people and nature through 30 hectares of green space, creative horticulture and engaging educational experiences. It is also Australia’s oldest scientific institution, conducting vital science and research activities across its facilities and sites, including the National Herbarium of NSW, the Australian PlantBank, PlantClinic and its scientifically curated living collections of plants across three sites:
Toulouse Faculty of Pharmacy
It trains approximately 140 pharmacists each year. Most of them focus on work in pharmacies, while others turn towards the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or biotechnology industries, hospitals, medical analysis laboratories, universities or research bodies. Research training is also offered.

Through a long-standing partnership, Klorane Botanical Foundation assists students with their botany-related study modules, including the design of herbariums and the completion of university theses. The pharmacognosy professors provide us with scientific support for botanical publications on the medicinal usages of plants for healthcare professionals.
Unesco
UNESCO is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It seeks to build peace through international cooperation in Education, the Sciences and Culture. UNESCO's programmes contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015.

We are the founding partners of the “ UNESCO Green Citizens, become a pathfinder for change ” project, alongside UNESCO and SIPA Press. With 9 emblematic projects, the “UNESCO Green Citizens” exhibit showcases the magnificent challenges that men and women are able to set for themselves when they become citizens of the world. Our "Great Green Wall" project is one of the projects.
